Are you consistently monitoring the page to ensure that CTA buttons are functioning, and products remain in stock with manual checks?

Hi Yogita, ecommerce store owners employ inventory management systems to track product quantities in real-time. Automated alerts notify when stock levels are low, allowing for timely reordering. Regular audits and forecasting based on sales trends help anticipate demand. Collaborating closely with suppliers ensures a steady supply chain. Availabilty tracking is a hard hard problem
But here is some advice having worked in the e-commerce industry for close to 18 years
Take care of the supply side first
1. Have reliable distributors - this should be easy as along as you have solid contracts. Distributors prefer predictability so be consistent
2. Understand inventory life cycle
3. Have substituable products - this works in certain categories not so much in others but is useful
Now to the demand side
1. Instrument inventory consumption
2. Set timely alerts on specific rules
3. Have an anamoly detector that predicts run rate
4. Understand demand patterns (not possible manually so you need to deploy tools)
5. Null searches in head products (again need a tool)

@yogita_pg e-commerce usually has multiple flows but consider a 2x2 grid of knowns and unknowns
wrt knowns - have a sanity test suite which you should run maybe at certain time intervals.
You can chose the interval - maybe when you have a new deployment or once daily or once every 12 hours / 6 hours - your call. But keep it light and ensure it does not take forever to run.
unknowns - these usually do not get caught or will not get caught by automation. What you need is to leverage the people using the site to give you feedback. Again the tool I mentioned track events like "uncaught exceptions" - these are silent killers, sometimes as drastic as the add to cart button not working and is throwing an exception which no one is aware of until its too late. Uncaught exception is an event that this tool can capture and send a sev0 alert. Its post facto but still much better than not knowing something is breaking.
