Do you think the popularity of AI will continue?

I have seen an increase in the AI launches lately. Do you think this will fade or will we start seeing more of it?

I personally think it will continue to rise. My bet is that any workflow you could augment with AI, will be augmented with AI - be that coding, writing, testing, digital arts, etc. The reason for saying that is that, I'm personally benefitting a ton from it as a founder. Ranging from copy writing to coding small things on the side. I don't see a point in not making use of it. The obvious caveat is that it's not there yet and you can just use it blindly. You should still know what you are doing :-)

It's the time of AI at the moment, However, unless major strides aren't made in this field the hype will die down until the next breakthrough. I remember a time when the metaverse was all the rage in the market, every second product being created was a metaverse of some sort, but because no major breakthroughs were made the hype and popularity died down. With AI the same thing could happen.

I think quickly we will move into 2nd wave AI products that are more complex than simply question/answer functionality. The goal will be what you can automate or affect by leveraging AI.

Well, I do think AI is becoming the industry standard. it will be part of the landscape, more than a passing trend.

AI, Generative AI, and Large Language Models as a buzzword will probably die down, but the tech will continue to be integrated in the products that we use. One thing that I hope makers do in future products is to nail the experience of using something enhanced by AI, without making all these buzzwords the main selling point. I’m honestly getting tired of seeing another (Noun/Adjective/Verb)GPT get launched on Twitter

Absolutely. They have new discoveries using this tech daily. Some form of AI will become mainstream and will be as common as the mobile phone.

I think the use of AI will continue to grow exponentially. what that means though is AI won't be the fucus or buzzword, it will just be something we take for granted.

Grow and be the wild Wild West for a while. Then, it’ll consolidate to a few key players in each industry. Seems to be the pattern with most disruptive tech, right?

I think most of these tools will die a painful death. As they're all forcefully inserting GPT here and there. Very few will survive, and we still don't have a clear idea of where it's all going, considering Google, Facebook, are building their own models.

At the moment we are in the gold rush phase, however longer term we will see larger established platforms wipe out a lot of micro businesses with ai tools that are bigger and better. I think there are huge opportunities of freelancers to get alongside local businesses and help them integrate ai into their processes. But the most exciting stuff will be when ai really gets going in the medical/research field.

I think the hype behind ChatGPT created a chain reaction that spread throughout the whole AI industry. I think the public popularity will begin to decrease however I think companies will continue to develop and implement AI solutions in their systems. Let me know what you think!

Really hard to predict where it goes from here. As long as you build a product, that is useful and not just using AI for the hype it should be good. But everything which has AI in the name will have significant advantage atleast for the next 3 months.
It will for a good while, AI is as big as the internet itself. It's only going to go forward with adaptations and enhancements vs vanishing entirely. So, yes! ride this wave and ride it well :-)

It will probably become pervasive but no longer a "key selling point" like it is now. Similar to when devs made mobile apps for the sake of having an app, then eventually it became yes of course we have an app (if it benefits the end user).

AI Popularity is increasing not just cuz of FOMO but it's also on demand. It has already become the new normal and any product built without AI is like building a product without the sign-up page.

I'm using it on a day-to-day basis and it's amazing how it improves my work. The problem is the random YouTubers/Influencers that make money not from AI, but from making videos about making quick money with AI. At some point, people realize that they actually have to work, and use AI, but it won't do everything automatically. And when it does become fully autonomous, it won't be easy to make quick money form it also.
Richard Green
it's only going to grow. My main business sells tech to travel companies and we are pivoting to AI - I'd say 90% of clients we speak too have no knowledge of ChatGPT. I'm sure that will change but this is an indication of the current adoption

Think it will be integrated into almost every facet of business and art! Even our predictions will fall far short of what's coming 🙈

i think we've only just scratched the surface and it would become more like the industry standard. this isn't just a bubble. AI is here to disrupt every industry. it only gets better from here.

There's usually a time where we see all these kinds of products take shape, and then the next wave(GPT-5 let's say) comes about and you see 150 companies going bankrupt in a few days because this new tool can now do the one thing that your entire company was based on, and for free. But that's just the tide. Will you stop adopting these technologies altogether then? No, you still try them out and play around with it, take inspiration from it, and build. If the trend stays, you build on top of it :)
