Hey everyone 👋
From folks who launched on PH & elsewhere - What are some of your hindsight learnings ?
In other words, when you look back -
- What worked during your prelaunch & launch day?
- What could have done differently ?
I believe personal experience from any product launch - successful or not, is a gold mine for the community & aspiring makers.
Contributions will be a big help.

Just a one-off observation: We did our latest launch on a Friday which was super good in terms of lowered competition, and allowed us to get into the weekend roundup newsletter on Monday despite dropping out of the #5 spot!
Also, late-in-the-day surges happen, so if you can, arrange your own last-hurrah effort several hours into your launch day. Beneficial for keeping up and making sure you don't drop out of whatever spot you'd been holding

can you share some insights from your recent launches ?
Frontitude
@sanat_mohanty Sure:
* The most critical part is building a community of supporters. For that, create a pre-launch campaign, just as important as the launch itself. Your pre-launch should spread the word about your launch and make people eagerly await it.
* The first few hours of your launch are the most critical so give it all!
* Respond quickly to comments
* A hunter is not essential (we hunted ourselves), but if you do look for one, choose someone whose followers on PH are relevant to your product (designers, developers, etc).
I'll be working on an article sharing some more insights. I'll ping you once it's done :)
