Building a startup as a solo founder or with co-founders?

I built our startup Crewting with co-founders and would do it again. For me, the pros clearly outweigh the cons. How do you see it?

I'm building with a co-founder. We both have technical background but I'm more of a generalist so I handle every other part while helping out on the technical side while my co-founder manages the technical side of the equation.
I'd say it's the best especially if both of you are in sync on the commitment side and understand what it takes to make the business succeed

@henry_burkert Oh yes definitely, that's a core element. We are doing this on the side so it's definitely important

Totally agree with you. The challenge that I face is finding the "one".
For me as well. One person cannot be equally proficient in all the competencies necessary for running a successful business. That's why we need a team. And by the way, investors are paying attention to this, as far as I know.

I'm building with my 4 other founders, and I feel blessed!
Co-founders ideal different roles and complementary skill set

As a tech enthusiast deeply immersed in startup life, I can see how building a startup with co-founders can bring diverse perspectives and shared burdens. However, solo founders also have the freedom of decision-making and speed in execution. It all boils down to finding the right balance that suits your entrepreneurial style and vision. Cheers to all the brave souls venturing into the startup world, whether solo or with a crew!

Totally agree. I have 2 co-founders and without them my journey would be much harder. Especially because they can challenge my opinion :)
I am building my startup as a solo founder. Benefits? Full control.

@alex_cortenix You're right. I would never say that there are only disadvantages to being a solo founder. But it wouldn't be the right thing for me personally.

Co-founders! It's great to be working with another person on something. You can launch stuff way faster.
