Best strategies to market the paid version of your product?

Context: At the outset we already started off with a freemium (pay as you grow model for ApyHub. Our goal for the first couple of months though, was to drive acquisition. We're now at a stage where the goal is more aligned towards revenue generation. Question: Do you have experience doing this for your product? What are some of the strategies you've employed to drive paid users and subscriptions?
