Front-end dev by day, vibe coder by night — building an AI sidekick for GMs
Hey everyone! I m a front-end engineer by day and a vibe coder by night which basically means politely arguing with AI until it makes something halfway useful.
My current late-night obsession is a tool for tabletop GMs. It started because I was running D&D for my kids and neighbors and got tired of pulling story hooks, NPCs, and plot twists out of thin air every week. So I glued my front-end skills to some AI magic and built an app that helps GMs spin up campaign content fast so we can all spend more time actually playing and less time doom-prepping alone at 1am.
When do you use ChatGPT vs Google Search?
As a PM, I ve found ChatGPT super helpful for:
Brainstorming product feature ideas
Structuring information clearly for stakeholders and clients
Meanwhile, I still use Google Search when I need quick facts or a sense check on what s out there.

Have you ever built something just to fix a problem in your own life?
I recently met someone who hacked their Kindle to sync highlights directly to Notion, just to fix their personal workflow. It made me think: as AI + no-code tools get better, more people will build these kinds of personal automations.
What happens to the idea of scalable products when everyone can just build exactly what they need?
