As per my experience, hiring contractors instead of full-time employees is inefficient: they have different incentives, work differently, and are rarely fully engaged.

Advisors are overrated. If they were so great, why aren’t they building their own startups?

I'd recommend "The Mom Test" by Rob Fitzpatrick - this book will show you how to build a dialogue with clients and get honest answers from them
