There are some really clever product design ideas wrapped up in Nanit. Many of the new parents I know are using a Nest Camera in place of the traditional baby monitor which has a lot of upside (e.g. being able to check it when one parent is at work). There is also a whole separate line of products that are effectively "fitbit for babies" where they monitor sleep, movement, diaper changes....

The last time they launched a Kickstarter I made this little website to graph how much money they've raised in real-time. I just updated it to this new Kickstarter: http://pebbletimetracker.herokuapp.com/

gifntext is a pretty sweet gif maker. In particular it makes adding text and images on top of gifs quite a bit easier. I used to use a janky command-line script to do that but this is so much better. Plus you can add and remove text and images from the gif at specific times. Basically, you can do whatever you want.

This is pretty sweet. It could also make for a really fun slack command (e.g. "/emojify time for the burgers and beer party")
I did notice a few odd translations, namely "china girl pizza drink" -> "🍚 👶 🍕 🍵".

Greetings Product Huntians!
I made Slackmojis because I wanted amazing custom emojis for the Slacks I am in. After searching around the internet I realized that a good custom emoji is hard to come by. The goal is to make a directory of great emojis so when you are looking to add some :fire: to your slack game, you just slackmojis.com and :boom:.
No slack should go without a :smh:, :america:,...

Greetings Product Hunt!
I worked on Supershot with @billychasen and I wanted to chat a little bit about why I think this is cool.
When you see something interesting happening in front of you, what do you do? Take out your phone and take a photo of it.

Instagram is really nailing these small utility apps that feed back into their main app (and facebook). The very minimal intro is great. It's basically just permission dialogues and you are good to go.
- It's interesting that they always immediately save it to your camera roll, no prompt or anything. In my experience with photo apps people delete/don't save the result quite often (a majority...

Really crazy start. They reached their 500k goal in under 20 minutes. In the last 20 minutes they've raised:
$37,142 per minute
which translates to
$2,228,571 per hour
$53,485,725 per day
and it's been increasing...

As someone who had made a decent number of gifs I can tell you the current tools suck. Photoshop is *really* complicated and GifBrewery is Mac-only and $5. Both require that you download the videos beforehand. YouTube-to-Gif makes this process much simpler because it all happens with the drag of a slider and a click. For whatever reason in the last year a bunch of people have made these...

This game has a lot of similarities to flappy bird but a lot less maddening frustration. It's simple, fun, and playable with just taps (a single tap jumps forward). Great for playing in a crowded subway full of people and oversized winter coats. The design is surprisingly well done, tons of fun animations and little details (like when your chicken hits the side of a car).
