I (albeit a bit late) commented on the HN post but got no response.
Here’s my comment:
The ambitious foray into messaging apps aside, a few things:
- What ACTUAL, sans marketing speech, benefit does this app have over ?
- Android Store button exists, but redirects you to a form to give your email.
- The link here does not work.
- The privacy policy states you collect and store all UGC...

Website comments: Direct only vs. direct and indirect (replies) as well?
Good evening, makers!
I'm doing some research for a product I'm building, and I was wondering about the following:
Website owners - you want to get comments from your visitors, right? Do you also want visitors to be able to reply on each others' comments or are you just looking to get direct feedback from your audience?
This poll is also available on Twitter:...

Hey Aleksei! I appreciate the hard work that went into making this, but it's a very steep asking price (IMO) considering things like Editor.js (https://editorjs.io/) exist.

?makers Not sure what I think about the whole "vomit" thing, but this looks like an interesting idea! I'm not entirely sure what part usernames play here, but maybe have a list of disallowed usernames? (since I was able to user admin as username)

Launching means a product is available for the general public to try (even in beta), which means you can't "launch" a closed beta.
Semantics aside, if you post your project and people can't try it, they will lose interest immediately. That would at least be me response.
Do you recommend launching while in closed beta or once signups are open to everyone?

Hey Kat! This is a wonderful idea, and albeit I'm definitely not the target audience for this, I can imagine where such a Minymon could be used.
Are you also planning on introducing an API to add custom functionality to the characters?

This is a nice project, but I will honestly say that IMHO $25 is a bit steep for tools most of which are available for free either online or in the IDE.

Nice project! Very useful list. Question - How often is the list updated? Alternatively, can users suggest new items?
