Should AI tools write feature flags for you?
We launched Bucket MCP last week and got featured in The Leaderboard. @aaronoleary put it elegantly: Whether you're using @Cursor, @Augment Code, or @Windsurf, you can just tell it what you want flagged, and the MCP server handles it. So instead of context-switching to write config files or CLI commands, you just prompt: “flag the download button.” That’s it. I'd love to follow up here and...

Great discussion! I'd add another perspective. It depends on your objective, it depends on your audience too. If you're a developer tool, you may want to launch on a weekend. Take @Zeabur (#1 Product of the Day) or @Trench (#3 Product of the Day) for example. Both launched on a Sunday. Why? Because many developers are developers in and out of work, with hobby projects to experiment with a new...
Would you rather launch on a day packed with products or with as little competition as possible?

Great topic, Alex! From my perspective, you need both qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative: reach out to your users. Take @Supabase for example. In this AMA session, @rors detailed how they spent a weekend going through over 3,000 developer profiles on GitHub, reaching out to as many as possible to chat with them about their likes and dislikes. "In the early days, there is no...

Great topic! At @Bucket we all recently experimented with @Cursor — key takeaways here — including our designer @laander Would you suggest using it for both apps and marketing sites? We're currently using @Webflow for bucket.co and as a developer tool, I'd definitely go full-code.
Designers using Cursor, where are you all? 😇

Raycast AI - Which models are you using?
Raycast keeps adding new models every week. I use @Anthropic's Claude 3.7 Sonnet when coding and @OpenAI's o3-mini when speed matters. Curious what works best for the community. What model are you using and why?

Bucket MCP - Feature flagging from your AI tools
Meow Product Hunt! At Bucket, we're on a mission to make feature flags as frictionless as possible. Last month, we launched Bucket CLI to create feature flags from the command line and help maintain type safety. We also started experimenting with a GitHub app to automatically clean up stale flags — request early access here Today, we're introducing the Bucket MCP server to enable your favorite...

Underrated: use feature flags to get feedback and track early adoption. Beyond the qualitative data you get from user calls, you can flag features to collect quantitative data. That's something we're doing constantly at @Bucket — full disclosure: we're a FF provider. We recently rolled out a beta feature and wanted to make sure we get it right before making it GA. We used a requestFeedback...

Experimenting with Cursor
At @Bucket, we're always looking for products that can boost productivity and inspire us to build better software. We recently experimented with @Cursor to replace @Github Copilot. Key takeaways Tab completion: Cursor includes a helpful tab completion feature, suggesting refactorings and improvements as you go — huge time saver! Chat: the chat/composer is better than Copilot as it can...

At @Bucket, we're a 8-people company building a developer tool, with a strong engineering culture. This means we use developer-first tools for everything, company-wide, including @Linear for project management. We split the company in 2 teams: Engineering and GTM. Each team has its own cycles. How we use Linear as a GTM team Initiatives: set the main objectives. In the Engineering team, the...
