I think it entirely depends upon the context. Obviously, design matters more if you are selling to a design-sensitive crowd (e.g., designers). It matters less if you are selling to a crowd that couldn't care less. That said, I think more people are becoming aware of what is and isn't good design- Design-first companies like Apple have put it front-and-center in the public's awareness.

Neither speak to me. I'd keep looking. If I had to choose, I'd say the first. I feel like with the second, you'll always need to tell people that there are two Os at then end and not just one. The first one is spelled like it sounds.

Avoid a savings account, inflation will just eat it away.
My goal would be savings - investments, really - that throw off more cash per month than my monthly expenses. So, it's a combined goal of increasing the amount invested and decreasing expenses.

WP and Ghost are fine if all you want is a simple blog. There's a good ecosystem of themes, plugins, and 3rd party plugins. However, my CMS of choice is Craft CMS. It's a bit more work to get off the ground (e.g., it is very developer-centric), but it brings along a lot of power that the blogging platforms do not.
