This is fantastic, Arlan, and congrats on getting married!
But I think you can save even more if you tried film. You can get a full-frame or medium format camera with an incredible lens for much less than an iPhone. Film is sold and developed in every major city.
Of course, you can’t go as compact as with an iPhone and see the results as fast (unless you’re using Polaroid or Instax).

I researched and wrote this guide for those of you who already shoot film and some who are considering picking up an analogue camera. Because you can get a camera for as little as $2 in some places, film is usually the largest expense in the long run. And since there weren’t many guides online that help with this issue, it had to be done.

Sounds like a wonderful idea. Our society is not uniform and the issues we may have to deal with when travelling and living overseas go beyond attitude and general acceptance. I hope to see a tool like this become a force to change the minds of those in-power at least in-favour of tourism and foreign income. Good luck!

I’ve tested the beta product some time ago and found it to be a tool that could be incredibly useful. Would love to see a mobile version of it. Anyone who uses Twitter should give this a try at least once.

This is a very basic tool, though I am happy it wasn't forced or rushed. I feel there are still some issues which, once sorted out, cold improve usability and adoption from the users. Perhaps the most pressing problem to tackle next would be spam and abuse elimination, which is already creeping in to /ask/.

I’m definitely down to try this with my content. Though it seems that two things have to happen: user has to have the extension with their wallet attached and content provider needs it to be enabled as well. Are you doing anything to eliminate the friction?
