Codeship published a good blog post comparing Heroku PostgreSQL to Amazon RDS last year. https://blog.codeship.com/heroku-postgresql-versus-amazon-rds-postgresql/ It would be great to see someone post something about their transition using these new migration tools.

Venkat's interview answers are as dense and interesting as his writing, so there are many great moments. I love his honest and self deprecating comments like ~"I don't have an interesting enough life to be a gonzo writer" and "It took until almost 35 before I actually cut loose from the script. The script is a very, very powerful thing. The script wasn’t working for me."

I really enjoyed the way that they captured audio as they cooked at one of their houses, and the photos on the website are great. It felt a bit less edited that usual (in a good way), and that less-edit-heavy strategy seems like the best approach given the content and the way that they recorded. I'd like more episodes like this one.

I learned some things on this episode AND had fun. Would cohost again! I'm particularly interested in what the JSON API standard means for webhook design. I like the idea of merging the two and haven't seen that out in the wild yet.

One episode - even a sort of long one! - isn't enough for this topic. But, I'm glad that we started the conversation. I'm anxious to hear listener points-of-view. We'll be sure to cover the most interesting follow up on the next episode. I was shamefully pleased with my "I'm M-S-soviet-hockey-team on Twitter" joke and I didn't even get it right! It's "CCCP" not "CCCC". It was instant karma for getting @mscccc's name totally wrong too. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I don't always listen back to the episodes, but when I do, @mscccc is the guest cohost. It was a great discussion - I really enjoyed it.

Thanks for posting this :) "Real world testing" was definitely a big takeaway too. Attendees were pretty interested in that topic, and TDD was far less common of a practice than I would have expected.
