2 users who are not me. One found several bugs, the other had several suggestions for improvement. I fixed the bugs and added most of their suggestions 🙂 it just takes time and prioritization and I'm only one person. But I really want to incorporate as much feedback as possible.

For low budget development? My laptop, period, free (kinda)For low budget deployment, usually a VPS, somewhere between $4 and $10/month, so yours beats mine.

I got squat, but I'm enjoying the community here. It's not about the launch, it's about the friends we make along the way 😂Just kidding, I don't know anything about proper launch strategies so I'm interested in what others here say.For me, I had been posting on threads for a while and didn't really do a good job at getting any kind of attention. I launched here and I've received very...

I also need a solution for this. I've lost so many things by just not having any decent system. I agree that bookmarks just get messy.Cook More kind of sort of tries to solve this for recipes. It's basically a list of bookmarks for recipes, sorted alphabetically. I've been asked to add tags and search to it. No reason it couldn't be extended to work for any links 🤔

I am a dev and I've found the docs for running these LLMs lacking. If there was an easy way to run locally I'd be down.Bonus if you can get a small model to run on a mobile device.
Isn't there a simpler way to run LLMs / models locally ?

I would also like some tips on marketing. I'm not doing so well, I'm trying to build a following but I'm not really a content creator.

Take an existing SaaS idea and make it work offline if it's feasible. Different target market 😉

Devlog 1 - Syncing databases across devices
One of the challenges about building apps that can work offline is syncing data between devices, servers, etc. While there are entire books written about the topics of distributed systems like this, I'll share how it works in Cook More.Cook More is a personal digital cookbook. You can sync your grocery list and recipes with anyone else running the app, this way you can share all your recipes...

I still haven't really caught on to the AI wave, I don't know where they fit in to my needs & ethics. If it's for making brand content or guidance, I might be open to it. But if it's for my users, I'm not comfortable sending off their data somewhere unless it's explicit that they are using an AI tool and sending off their information. AI is a powerful tool, but a privacy nightmare.
Which favorite tools did you replace with AI counterparts and do not regret?

I just asked ChatGPT to give me code to register a user and the code it gave me has a plain to see SQL injection vuln. https://chatgpt.com/share/67e76f96-84e0-8008-b2d8-70912c1c8381I know Claude is typically used for code but I'm laying in bed right now so I can't check with cursor. But look at it another way, AI is trained on what we give it, if it's spitting out insecure code it's because...

I don't know of any myself 😞 but making an app like this is one of my dreams. Especially making a point not to sell user data. I think that's so important, and isn't considered by many startups focused on building a SaaS product.I think a lot about how I can make products that don't rely on servers, but rather do all the compute at the edge. Then I don't even need to have any ongoing server...

Maybe change "how much do you make pooping?" to "How much do you earn by pooping?" For some reason it's weird to me to read "make pooping" 😂But it looks fun, I would click it.

How To Business?
I'm asking a real question, because I don't know.Hey everyone! I'm Daniel from @appsforhumansI'm an app developer focusing on offline apps (I know). I know there's so much power in SaaS and all these AI features, but I think sometimes we can forget that our devices are basically supercomputers and they can a LOT by themselves.I just published Cook More an app for digital recipe management....

I made Cook More because I wanted an app similar to anylist or samsung foods, but I don't want a subscription and I don't want to send my information to 3rd parties. Not every app needs to be online to be powerful and networked. It is the first of many more apps to come that focus on benefits of one time purchases without subscriptions, microtransactions, or accounts. My mission is to make apps...
