I haven't launched on producthunt yet. But I wouldn't say producthunt is a make or break for your product. For me atleast, I am trying to enjoy my journey of building a product.
How much prep did you put in before launching on Product Hunt?

Take a walk. Interact in an online forum (like I am doing now). Watching a well curated YouTube playlist to pick myself up (VC talks, SAAS revenue). And just code or learn new things.
TLDR: Just keep busy.

From a very pessimistic standpoint, don't lunch yet.
Talk to the audience, who have a higher degree of adoption directly. If you have an MVP, there is always the possibility, if you can grow rapidly your better fund competitor will essentially use as a market test of features and they will take the idea for themselves.
Talk with early adopters with high impact, listen to their advice...
You have your MVP ready. Now what's next?

Stonks really.
EV stocks and tech stocks are showing what is virtually an "antifragile" behaviour but I would say this is the opposite of that. Tech and EV stocks are negatively correlated to the overall sentiment of the stock market.

The way everyone does this. VAs and Moderators. Even Big tech can't solve these issues with AI. They are using living breathing human being to moderate and censor.

I failed my second business even before I got started. Bought the domain the very day Robinhood shut the unofficial API off.

Depends on the person though. For me getting a job is harder because when I say I do dev and social media marketing. They are like "pick one, you can't do either."
But these skills make me a reasonably good cofounder but promises of success don't pay the rent.

I work in community engagement and management as a part-time job. Here is a solid set of advice -
1. Try to be personal. Come to them as a human and not as a service provider.
2. Empathize with their culture and current news relating to your product. (For finance service I talk about hot stocks and news; For programming - talk about nuances of programming service; For real estate - I explore...

It's not a matter of exclusivity. Do it everywhere. Ask for review and opinion then respond and maintain engagement regardless of platform.

I used work in mid-management in a retail bank. Left it after a few months of working.
Unlike most other people I enjoyed banking and accounting. I just wanted to a bit more free time to pursue a good passive income project and learn from people who are doing business and startups on a day to day basis.
