Have you ever cancelled a picnic due to “40% chance of rain” only to have sunny skies? Taken your dog for a walk and gotten stuck in unanticipated rain? Wished you’d left the house 10 minutes earlier to avoid suddenly stormy conditions?
I’m curious how forecasting accuracy compares around the world for ClimaCell – are there any countries or continents with lower accuracy due to fewer weather stations, or some other factors?
Just tried the app on iOS to compare to Dark Sky – the precipitation map for the UK is currently completely clear, while Dark Sky seems to more accurately show peppered spots of precipitation, which have been true to the weather I’ve had today (on and off showers).
Have to say the app features are awesome though – being able to track activities and calendar events, generally feels very smooth.
