I’ve been using Warp for quite a while now. I no longer reach for another terminal. This one’s it. The pace the team moves at is crazy. Warp Wednesday’s a fun wordplay twist for their weekly update. The best part about Warp: people who aren’t comfortable or are new to the CLI, can explore without feeling like it’s a blackbox. I’ve been able to get my Mom into running some commands, comfortably. Extending onto that, I’m excited for shared sessions & workflows! I can see AI-command generation being a massive timesaver. NLP-based commands helps onboard less-tech savvy people. Long story short: Warp is the future of CLI’s, today. Download it & give it a shot, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Have feedback? Shoot a message over to the team. They’re super responsive & love all the feedback! Favorite features: 🔥 Fuzzy Search 💨 Autocomplete 🗒 Text editor-esque keyboard control ⚡ Blazingly fast performance 🦀 Rust-backed codebase
I love this product. Very, very, fast when I didn’t realize how slow iTerm could be. The block approach is outstanding and enables you to copy/paste intelligently for documentation, for notes to yourself etc. If you approach this product like it’s just another “terminal app”, you are mistaken.
This project genuinely changed the way I work with a terminal. I get work done faster, I don't have to faff around with searching for weird command-line commands thanks to Workflows, I can generate my own commands using natural language through OpenAI and also share output blocks with people as fast as possible. I really like where this project is going and I am really excited to see what's next for Warp in terms of collaboration.
Idk where to start :o!! my jaw literally dropped! this is the future and I am so excited about the future! I can not wait for the complete version! try it now! you will not regret a thing
I had a great experience using this and think it's brilliant! Great product
Warp is a very fast, modern take on what a Terminal program should be, moving away from the old tty model to take advantage of modern features. I found it very easy to work with, it was just missing a few features for me to use as a daily terminal. It is improving rapidly, and the developers are VERY responsive to the community. Keybindings are getting better, and nearly where I need them to be. Some programs that were designed around manipulation of TTY output can have visual problems in Warp, but that is improving as well. The ability to easily grab the output of a command, and a strong workflow system and (multiline!!!) command line history are standout features. As someone who has been using Bash/ZSH after coming from Kornshell in the 80s, the lack of a vi-mode is a bit of a hinderance, but I look forward to integrating that in a true multiline local editing environment.
Most awesome terminal I've ever use. Currently trying to get my colleges move to this terminal. They truly reimagine how terminal functions and looks like
As someone who never put time into customizing their shell and terminal, Warp is a godsend. It gives me a much better terminal experience without any work on my end! On top of that, blocks are a great platform innovation that I can imagine the team adding all sorts of features to. Can't wait to see where the product goes from here!
