Wails helped us to have a single stack with React native for all our devices (iOS, Android, Windows, Web). Binding it to custom go functions is simple and we used it to implement our file sync platform.

Wails is an alternative to Electron, but instead of Node.js, it uses Golang. Compared to Electron, it creates much lighter applications since it leverages the native WebView available on each operating system.

I like Wails because it offers the perfect balance between performance and modern UI capabilities. Unlike heavy Electron-based solutions, Wails is lightweight, cross-platform, and built in Go, which means I get native performance with minimal memory usage. It lets me build a fast, responsive desktop app with a modern frontend while keeping the resource footprint incredibly low—ideal for artists who want a smooth experience even on lower-end machines. Plus, I love that I can work entirely offline and still deliver a clean UI without compromising on speed or usability.
