Hello Hunters 👋🏼 Mercurius here, co-founder at Tutorbloc. We’ve been working on Tutorbloc for what feels like forever now but we’re finally ready to launch and share it with the Product Hunt community 🥳 Tutorbloc streamlines the end-to-end lesson booking process and builds a powerful one-stop shop for verified tutors (who have been criminal background, identity and qualification checked). Between us, we have more than 10 years of tutoring experience. During this period of time, we uncovered the transformative power of one-to-one learning (proven to boost attainment by 3-5 months) but also many of the underlying problems that plague the industry. If you’ve tried to find a tutor, you probably understand how painful it truly is: from jumping between online directories (realising they’re all the same) to spending hours sending enquiry messages (never hearing back), from using clunky outdated websites (horrible user experience) to worrying about safety and the quality of service — the list is honestly endless 😭 What’s worse, tutors are also struggling. They spend hours per week on admin (scheduling, invoicing, reporting), constantly trying to find clients and duck tape 6-8 separate tools; none of which are optimised for tutoring. In addition, tutors are charged 20-40% commission therefore increase their rates to make up for the difference. As a result, lessons become unaffordable. That’s all about to change today! Parents are able to search, organise and pay for lessons in less than 60 seconds and tutors are empowered with the tools to launch, manage and effectively grow their business. We’ve packed Tutorbloc with all the features you’d expect and more: file sharing, in-app live chat, progress tracking, virtual classroom, real-time calendar syncing, earning projections...
