Don't listen to all the negative feedback. It's all from "Karen's" who don't have the patience or did not do the research before buying. With that said, this is very expensive, but you are paying for a premium product. There is nothing out there like it. I'm absolutely blown away by the capabilities of this machine. After using it for the first time, the high price is totally justified. The purchase guilt went out the window. I completed a full workout at home, in my underwear. I didn't have to think. No more tracking weights or figuring out what workout I'm going to do. The user interface/experience is amazing and the touchscreen is sharp and very responsive. It can't get more convenient than this. Throughout the ordering and delivery process, I've received great customer service. Not sure why people are complaining so much. The delivery time is long so have some patience. I ordered on March 7th with an estimated delivery week of April 25th. I received it on April 29th so I'd say it was very accurate. Well worth the wait. I only have great things to say about the Tonal and would recommend it to anyone that can afford it.
Well I like it?! Sheesh complainer city. I have a peloton and wanted a better way to build strength, plus I love gadgets. I’m tech savvy and found this to be a bit buggy but nothing I can’t deal with. They have some hardware and software issues to work out and I already need a replacement but I was fine sending a video of the issue and they responded with a sufficient response and are fixing it. Yeah it’s expensive but I’ve been using it almost everyday so it’s paying for itself. Give it some time, once they work out the kinks it’s a great product.
I am messaging you in desperation! I have three Tonals at homes and offices all installed by you all have worked fine for months NOW your team sends a signal to block them unusable because your installers are suspected of installing incorrectly now I have NO tonal's no communication no return of phone call or email. If it's wrong FIX IT don't just leave my family and co-workers dead in the water and ignore us! Please be professional and get someone to contact me
I am blown away by ANY bad reviews on Tonal. These people must never have spent any significant years in a gym. Me..38 years working out in gyms, hardcore and luxury. This product is amazing, and the nitpicking is so ridiculous. Be grateful you could afford it, its conveniently in your home, available to a ton of other users, and does all the stats, music, (yea, get your darn bluetooth hooked, then you can have your own music you want) and SO many different workouts you'd NEVER get in a regular gym. You're all in fantasy land.
"Weak" isn't strong enough of a word to describe the train wreck that is their product support department. I used tonal for about a month when, in the middle of a rep, the left arm started to click like I had pressed the button to rotate it. It then unlocked, with the weight still engaged, and started to swing around. This not only meant I couldn't use it, but potentially left my shoulder in a super dangerous position for a second there. Called customer support to get a tech out and its been 3 weeks of radio silence. No updates to my case, no calls, emails, nobody reaching out, nothing, despite my attempts to get anyone to tell me whats going on. But they are still charging me the subscription cost! I absolutely would not recommend this product until they stop hiring third party companies who could not care less about their customers.
It's hard to follow the instructor on the video workout program. If you're doing a stretching or yoga class and need a moment to position yourself on the floor, there's no remote control to pause the workout. You have to get up to touch the screen. I'm so frustrated that I don't use it anymore. All the programs rush through the workout. How is anyone supposed to have good form or thoroughly stretch in a rush? A 15 min workout ends up taking 45 min after pausing the video anyway.
Horrible customer service!!! Am still waiting for my Tonal after three months. Like other reviews stated all of the communication has been initiated by me and each customer service rep states they will get back to me and never do. I'm going to cancel my order before getting locked in to this disaster.
All I can imagine is the thing flying off the wall when I pull hard on it. What is the full range of weight it can simulate? From the limited information I can gather from the Tonal site (can't find any external/independent reviews) 23lb or even 120lb is on the low end, and I am not an ego lifter.
Also how many "white gloved" installs do you get? if i'm renting and moving around alot will I also have to invest in a power drill?
Definitely going to keep my eye on this, because if it actually does what it says, it could be a game changer. However considering the price tag I need more information and objective reviews from trusted sources before I can commit.
