Review TIMEFLIP2?

TIMEFLIP2 receives mixed reviews. Users appreciate its physical design, ease of use, and the ability to track time without a constant app connection. Many highlight the absence of subscription fees as a significant advantage. However, some users report issues with the device's reliability, such as inaccurate time tracking and problems with the tap-to-pause feature. Assembly challenges and app flaws are also noted, though the support team is praised for their assistance. Overall, while the concept is well-received, improvements in functionality and app performance are desired.

I like this device and the experience it brings to me. It was easy to set up everything and start using Timeflip. I don't have to keep the instant connection to the app, so it allows me to track everything I do, whether it's online or offline. No extra costs or hidden payments.

Just wanted to share that I use your little gadget to track and bill time to my clients daily. It is so handy ad easy to use! I would never switch back to a digital-only app anymore. Happy there is no subscription fees and hope it will remain so in future) Kudos!

What a discovery! I was hesitant about installing a time tracking app on my phone, but this gadget won my heart instantly. The app has few minor flaws, but they don't spoil the overall impression.

I love this concept. The physical token helps to keep focus or avoid getting stuck onto something. LED lighting is great for visual notification. I would suggest adding a rechargeable battery though

Great idea, I bought one when my DGT Cube broke down but sadly it doesn't live up to its advertising hype. To begin with it cost over 50% more than the DGT Cube, which sadly is now obsolete. Opening it to change batteries involves damaging the casing slightly. It should pause if you tap it, but that rarely works and I have to pause it in the associated app. However, it randomly pauses itself and keeps losing time over a work day. The manufacturer did eventually replace it, but the replacement loses time as well. This makes it useless to me as I need to charge my time to various Companies and I can't trust the device to be acurate.

Hello Lisa, the reason for "random pausing" is that tap-on feature makes the tracker sensitive to strong vibrations. When placed on a hard resonating surface, such as wood, it can be activated by knocking or hitting such surface close to the device. We recommend two things 1) use a pad of a softer insulating material; even a couple of sheets of paper placed under the device will solve this issue or 2) switch tap-on function off in the settings and just designate one side of the device for idle mode

Really cool device! I had a bit of a trouble assembling it first. Then the support team advised me I shouldn't be afraid of pressing harder ;). What I like the most about my Timeflip is that it tracks data locally, with no need to maintain a constant connection with the app. It allows me to track anything I do, whether it's online or offline. The second big plus is that the app is totally free of charge with no hidden payments, etc.

Received it recently and had some issues with assembly. 15 mins later managed to close it and then just created the tasks and done. Very easy to use and the device looks good on my table. Looking forward for the next generation.

Anyone who recommends this product after using it for a week must have a marketing deal with the company. The idea that the double-tap to pause and start tasks doesn't always works is a Con rather than a disqualifier is bending over backwards to recommend this product. The software is completely unintuitive and unfinished. How do you add task time in the app when you didn't bring your dungeons and dragons die on your business trip with you? You can't! At one point I tried to manually adjust a task on the web app and it added the same time to every day in the month! WHAT? And the web app "powered by AWS" is the slowest thing I've used since dial-up internet.

Daniel, 1) The reason for double-tap not always working from the firs tap is that it is hard to make a 'one size fits all" solution with the options we have to tune the accelerometer. The most crucial parameter is the right window between the two consecutive taps, not the force. However, there is an easy workaround: just switch tap-on function off in the settings and designate one side of the device for idle (pause) mode. If you don't want the device to track time when it is on "pause", just set a minimal Pomodoro timer for that side for 1 min, it will count down that minute and pause. So each time you turn it on this side it will pause within 1 min. 2) You absolutely can edit your time logs daily. Probably you did something wrong, e.g. choosing to edit a wrong period (month instead of day). The process is described in the corresponding sections on our website and in the quick start guide. 3) We have made a lot of improvement in terms of server request processing and the web app works way faster now that it used to.
