Superior algorithms + less ads than Spotify = SoundCloud forever (seriously, the auto-play never gets reckless, you can leave it playing forever it's that good)
I love the seamless integration between SoundCloud and YouTube for podcast distribution. SoundCloud is a musical melting pot that earns a solid 4/5 in my book. Its standout feature lies in its open-door policy for artists—unlimited uploads mean a vast and diverse library, showcasing an array of genres and hidden gems waiting to be discovered. The platform's community engagement is a winner, fostering interactions between users and artists through comments, creating a lively space for music enthusiasts. The free tier, while interrupted by occasional ads, remains a generous gateway for those exploring without committing to a subscription. One of SoundCloud's charms is its versatility; it's not just about tracks but also a hub for podcasts, remixes, and a mix of audio content that goes beyond the mainstream. However, the sheer volume of content can make discoverability a bit of a challenge, relying heavily on recommendations or targeted searches. Quality-wise, it's a mixed bag; while some tracks boast top-notch audio, others may lack the fidelity audiophiles seek. The occasional ad interruptions in the free version might nudge you towards a premium subscription for an uninterrupted experience. Been using SoundCloud for years, it does exactly what it is supposed to very efficiently , I do think they charge a bit too much for the SoundCloud plus, but i still am using it, so there is that. Overall though, i think we would be lost without SoundCloud, Its became extremely vital to independent artist releases, such as bandcamp.
