Scrintal

Amazing and genius tool!!!! This is what I’ve been waiting for!!

Scrintal seamlessly integrates an infinite canvas (playground!) with bidirectional linking. If you want to host a zettelkasten in the same space where you brainstorm, plan, and play with those ideas, I highly recommend Scrintal. In other software, where you ONLY have bidrectional linking between text documents or ONLY have an infinite canvas, the tasks of research and project planning get siloed. Scrintal is intuitive (to me) and enjoyable to use.

Using Scrintal feels natural and intuitive. It’s like having a limitless space to freely brainstorm, then pull everything together into organized plans. No rigid boundaries, just effortless flow and organization!

Scrintal is an incredible app! Our team has used it for a little over a year and it has revolutionized how we work together to brainstorm ideas and work through creative processes. But, that is just the beginning, Scrintal has also helped us map out all of our events, promotional material, strategic plans, mood boards, timelines, general ideas/thinking, etc. Scrintal has been a gamechanger for us! And now with V2 Playground for the Mind, we can do even more with Scrintal! I look forward to continuing to use Scrintal and find even more ways to utilize it. The use cases seem to be endless!

Scrintal has all the features I need for my knowledge practice. Features that, together, no other app has. I can focus on a particular document, I can navigate seamlessly from document to document via links, or I can Zoom out and organise multiple documents (ideas, in my case) in a visual board. I can see on a board the logical links I create between ideas or I can have temporary links that exist only within a board (something that Obsidian Canvas doesn't have). I can have elements on a visual board, but I can also create seamless connections between separate documents via links (something Miro doesn't have). I can easily have a board "holding the context" for all links I am creating within a document so I can look at how those links create connections between groups of documents (something Heptabase doesn't have). And on top of all that, I can collaborate with others. Scrintal has become my tool of choice back in 2022 and I haven't looked back since.

It's a very useful app, I use it mostly for my project plannings and to visualize more complicated lectures in medical school.

The team is very responsive to the user-base. I have other apps I use as well, but Scrintal is by far the best visual note-taking app I've tried... and it's getting even better with the "Playground for the Mind" updates. You've got to try this app!
