Snipclip Record (Formerly Screen Recorder) alternatives

Big fan of Loom for cutting down on meeting time. We use Loom a lot at Product Hunt to make asynchronous time more effective and reduce unnecessary meetings.

Tested for a few days and really like the ability to record up to 4k with effects auto-added. The effects can be further tweaked in the editor. This provides a very smooth workflow, as the resulting footage can then be added into a full editor like Screenflow. Some cons I found - no audio voiceover/transcription, webcam overlay or the ability to automatically create "guides", like some of the competitors can. The developer is very open to feedback, and I hope some of these features would be rolled out shortly. Would also prefer if the licencing is for lifetime for earlier adopters, and not a yearly renewal.

I absolutely love Tella and the team behind it! Absolutely great people who really care about what they do. It's extremely vital for me to be able to shoot great looking videos with ease, and Tella does that!

I absolutely love Canvid! I have been on the look for the screen.studio for Windows, but all I found were basic apps. However Canvid brings together all the necessary features with amazing customization. Regular updates alongside their cloud option is really amazing, goes to show the effort the company puts into customer happiness. 10/10!

Screenflow is pretty simple to learn and has some decent features, but is a little clunky and crashed too often.

I discovered this in an Instragram Ad (first time this was useful, possible, last one) I am superhappy: it really improved my life. More free time, better and more wise use of the phone...

I'm a big fan. The snipping tool for Mac is a bit too basic. Gemoo has the clip to clipboard + annotate function that I end up using every day. Love it.
