I've practiced and taught yoga for 20+ years, and during that time I've also studied different forms of meditation. I spent time in Plum Village with Thich Nanh Hanh, I did a 5 day silent retreat at Spirt Valley and I (litterally) met with cave swamis in India.
When my meditation practice has been regular, I've felt calmer, more focused and generally happier ... but even with all the benefits, I find I struggle to keep it regular. And, tangentially, I have a very regular DuoLingo practice:) The interactivity and gamification are what I need to keep with it. I'm really excited to see how my meditation practice grows now that I have a platform that holds me accountable and also offers rewards.
