Beautifully-designed site, and love the mission. Excited to see where this goes - the potential is enormous - looking forward to being able to purchase a hand-made bag straight from a crafts(wo)man from a remote village in Italy, or ceramics straight from an independent maker in Taiwan, and feeling like I've met them in person. :)

If Etsy is the Whole Foods of handmade marketplaces, then Rare Things stands out as the locally sourced, small-batch farmers market down the street. The quality of curation paired with the sleek design makes this site instantly shine. The short-video format that Rare Things puts front and center struck me as a wonderful way to create a connection with each artisan and develop a story behind every purchase. Really impressed so far and can’t wait for what else they have in store!
