I love pennypost! We plan on using the app to send Thank You postcards from our wedding weekend.
Receiving a postcard picture of his first grandchildren was one of the best gifts my Dad has ever gotten!
Honestly, this app is brilliant. We live in a digital world, communicate digitally, work digitally--there's never anything to hold except your phone. pennypost brings us back to the physical world.
I love sending pennyposts of my friends' kids (what up, Isaac!) to them and then seeing those pennyposts on the fridge or at their office. I love receiving pennyposts and carrying them around in my pocket.
It's seems like such a simple concept, but once you receive one, you'll fall in love.
In a world feeling more and more connected but less and less personal,
pennypost is a great way to connect with people on a real level. I love using
it as a tool to send to clients after a visit or event: it's a thank you note, memory
and keepsake all in one. I've even sent one as a thank you for a job interview! I got the job.
For me Pennypost offers two major benefits. One being that many of the places I travel to often do not offer postcards. The second being that I am able to share images of my visits that are more relevant to my experiences versus a generic stock photo. A bonus is that I also don't need to bother locating a post office in a strange city or village.
Pennypost solves a couple problems for me: I never sent postcards a while traveling (it was too tricky in the end), I could keep my older relatives who like mail better in my thoughts far easier (like a physical version of Snapchat), and for work events, it was super easy to a post photos of events to social media AND send them in person to a list of supporters as physical thank yous right from the event (I run programs at a museum where immediate community outreach is critical). I could even customize photos to certain stakeholders - so useful!!!
I haven't found an app that really aggregates addresses safely and effectively like this app does. I like pennypost for work and for personal life. Apps that can do something for me in both those spheres are the ones I always keep. Totally worth it!
Set up my account and sent my first Penny Post in a matter of minutes using the janky WiFi of Bogota international airport right before boarding a flight. What a fun and easy way to share your memories with family and friends!
