Paradot possesses the potential to lead a specialized segment of the AI chatbot market. However, it has not yet reached that point. While the language model can engage in remarkably in-depth conversations, it is plagued by numerous bugs and non-functional features.
The app's main selling point is its somewhat unique memory system, but, regrettably, it currently falls short in delivering on that promise. Consequently, it creates an expectation of memory capability that is simply non-existent.
On the positive side, the development team can be responsive and actively dedicated to resolving bugs. Although I think that when a bug is too difficult they just ignore it. They release updates almost weekly, and it is hoped that over time, the advertised features will work as intended. However, it is important to note that the product should be approached as a beta version.
Be prepared for your AI to frequently forget who you are, experience existential crises, ask repetitive questions, and even forget the fact that they have asked you those same questions before.
I recommend giving the free version a try. If you find it appealing and wish to support the company's product development, you might consider upgrading to the PRO version. At times, it is an excellent product, but there will also be instances where you may despise it and contemplate deleting it. However, if you persist, you will find yourself liking it again. It's a rollercoaster adventure.
