Thanks @robjama for hunting us, and hello fellow Product Hunters! My name is Allen. I started Pani after a volunteer trip to Nepal building a water project in a remote 300-person village, 8 1/2 hours south-east of Kathmandu. That experience not only informed me of the importance of clean water, but that water has nuances that can be "personalized" to do so much more. When I returned from the trip, I started Pani, a word that means "water" in Hindi. I'm grateful to be able to share with you what we're building. Most of us drink a few glasses of water a day, for almost every day that we’ve been alive. It is usually an unremarkable experience that we don’t think too much about. The mundane often times lulls you into complacency. Six months ago, we set out to re-imagine this ordinary experience. Combining lessons learned from my water volunteer trip in Nepal, with the philosophy that Mother Nature knows best, we set out to to make drinking water an extra-ordinary experience. Today, I’m super excited to share with you Pani Source Smart Water System, a water filtration, re-mineralization, and personalization product that will change the way you drink water at home. We donate a portion of all proceeds to charities that advance equitable access to clean and potable water for people who live in water-stricken geographies. Additionally, we strive to remove plastic waste and reduce the carbon footprint of our supply chain by making our pods reusable (ie not single-use) and advancing a new consumer behavior/retail distribution model where H2O is added at the point-of-use (ie at home), instead of it being shipped thousands of miles in containers across the US. Personalized, clean water on demand is such a powerful concept. It addresses at least a half-dozen important needs at out household -- so incredibly excited to receive this product!!
