When I first purchased my Oto Lawn device I thought it was very cool. However, after two years of ownership, I would certainly NOT recommend. I purchased four devices. Of the four two have stopped working. One broke with in the first year, and was replaced. The second broke just after the two year warranty expired, and they will not replace it. Two of the remaining three will not charge with the solar panel (the coating has peeled off), and have to be plugged in at all time. This is a lot of money to spend on a sprinkler that will not last. Also the yard solutions that they sell are not worth the plastic and cardboard that they are shipped in. Save you money, buy a sprinkler timer. I can assure you that what little money you will save on precise watering does not justify the cost of the device. They need to improve their quality. These devices are a waste of money.
I would give my OtO's ten stars any day. During our super hot summer months OtO has been integral in keeping our lawns alive. Between automated watering and manual watering sessions we had a nice healthy green lawn and bushes all year long. I have started using the lawn food and stop the bites solutions and couldn't be happier. The lawn food is a great way to keep our lawn healthy while making sure it is safe for our fur babies and neighbors kids. The stop the bites solutions was a game changer as we were finally able to enjoy summer evenings in the back yard with a noticeable reduction of fly pests.
My previous sprinkler system required electricity so, the cable had to pass through the bedroom wall!! Also, in the backyard, the tubes were broken, and required to hire someone to fix them. Searching on LinkedIn, I found this little guy that works only with the sun! I do not have to worry about damaged tubes or water that goes to waste because the mapping system is precise and, you can also add food plants while it waters the lawn.
