Nonexistent customer service. Do not follow up on refund requests. I made a subscription to ChatBOT APP via Paddle. Once I used the app, which claims to offer ChatGPT 4 along with several other functions, I saw that the ChatGPT4 responses it delivered were subpar in quality compared to the actual ChatGPT4. According to the seller's guidelines, customers who've sent less than 10 messages could apply for a refund. I'd only sent three, so I submitted a refund request with a detailed explanation to Paddle. Since all such requests are directed to their AI bot, I submitted a few follow-up requests over the course of one week. Emails were supposedly sent to the seller, but there was no response. There was no assistance from Paddle in this matter whatsoever, not even after I stated that I'd file a dispute with Paypal should they continue to ignore my requests. I'd not recommend Paddle to potential buyers/customers.
Six weeks might be a bit short to truly incubate something game-changing, but Paddle has clearly done their homework. The support from heavy hitters like AWS and Google Cloud adds credibility, and the post-program community aspect could be a valuable lifeline.
I've seen a ton of horror stories about chargebacks from customers ruining your business so I ended up switching from Stripe to Paddle last year. I was able to move all my subscriptions + customers pretty quickly. The support team actually helped with most of that. Recommend for all founders to do this!
