Otis AI initially impressed us with a convincing sales presentation, prompting us to provide access to our accounts and complete their detailed onboarding process for each client we intended for them to manage. However, just as we were about to launch, we encountered a significant setback: Otis AI informed us that they would only manage ads through their accounts, not using our MCC account as expected. With my extensive experience in digital marketing, I was taken aback by this approach, as it not only monopolizes the data, making it inaccessible if we ever ended the partnership, but also contradicts industry standards for client account management. Despite our attempts to negotiate, Otis AI remained inflexible. Consequently, we requested a cancellation and a refund at the onset of our collaboration, before any ads were activated. Although the decision to separate was mutual, the process of obtaining a refund, involving several weeks and numerous emails to their CEO, proved futile. Ultimately, Otis AI chose to retain the fees, citing misinformation on our part. It's important to note that no reputable agency operates exclusively from their own ad accounts when managing client campaigns.
