Hi PH! I'm Luc, the founder of Offramp. Offramp is an app that turns any web3 wallet into a global USD current account. With us, you can use stablecoins to top-up and spend from a VISA card, fund and send local / international fiat transfers, and even earn interest through US T-Bills. Think Revolut, but built on self-custodial web3 wallets and stablecoins! We initially launched Offramp as a platform to convert crypto-to-fiat for a flat $1 fee. Unfortunately, we had negligible traction except for some very heavy power users who were converting thousands of dollars of crypto to fiat every week to their Revolut and Wise accounts. So we talked to these power users and stumbled upon a key insight: although they were keeping most of their assets in crypto on a self-custodial wallet, they still needed to convert their assets into fiat to do things in real life like buying groceries, sending money to a friend, and paying for rent. It became clear that being able to use their crypto assets in day-to-day life was the main pain point they were trying to solve! So we decided to re-launch Offramp as a web3 version of Revolut: enabling users to spend, send, and earn IRL directly from their web3 wallets. Our first product is our debit card. You can connect any web3 wallet to our app and then use USDC (Polygon) to load USD on a VISA debit card. All USDC to USD conversions are free of charge, and you always get a 1:1 exchange rate. You can get both a virtual and physical for no cost (excl. shipping!), and they're both compatible with Google Pay and Apple Pay. We're issuing our first cards this Friday (23rd Feb), and launching our send and earn products later in March. Although we're focused on crypto-native users for now, we've kept our product as web2-friendly as possible. For example, we enable non-crypto users to sign up and login via an email address, while spinning up an embedded self-custodial web3 wallet underneath. Eventually, we'll have a UI switch that'll make the crypto side entirely invisible. We'd love to get your feedback and questions!
