They took everybody's money, then didn't deliver the product, then encouraged people to dispute the charge with their credit card company and then when some did, they disputed that dispute so people were still charged. Unfortunately, it was fraud.

If you are going to sell a new product and get delayed, communicate, don't steal your potential clients money and hide.

This was a huge “pie in the sky” product. Timothy Woo, founder, had no good business plan and seems to have taken our money and skipped the country. This is what happens when we teach our children that they are good at everything, they start to believe it. Only this is real life, and he used other people’s money for his own personal gain.

We were not offered refund for our LACK of a product, just told to dispute with our credit card companies. This whole business design was a scam.

Unfortunately, this will REALLY hold me back from helping any new startup company in the near future. And I will never support anything by Timothy Woo again.

If by some miracle Timothy Woo actually ships out his product, I may be willing to amend my comment slightly, but I do not foresee that happening.

The least they could do is make their code public. Otherwise stole the money that I pledged to support their product. Disappointed in their actions and how it damages consumer faith in maker products.

They sent this email to their customers

"What does this mean for you, our customers? It may now take 6+ months for you to get your product. We know, another delay. Trust us when we tell you we're just as upset and disappointed, especially considering how much negotiation and sacrifices we've made. We aren't calling it quits, but will no longer be producing the "Made in Brooklyn" version. Overseas production is the only way we can catch up and will result is a more stable product (with all of our v2 updates). Our development team will continue to maintain and improve the cloud services the product depends on for customers with signs.

We know this is an extremely frustrating situation for everyone. Many of you have been rooting for us since we've launched. While we're not giving up, we know you may be disappointed. If our updated timeline doesn't fit, you can have your money back. We suggest that you dispute the charge with your credit card company due to late shipping."

That last line really annoyed me. We paid for our product and they want us to dispute the charge rather than just issuing refunds?

This company is a SCAM. Avoid at all costs. I'm not expecting to see my money ever again.
