👋🏽 Hi Product Hunt!
I love using flashcards to study and so does my partner. But we could never find a flashcard app with a clean and easy-to-use interface. Most flashcard apps we tried for iPhone (and we tried dozens of them), were ugly, clunky, and left a lot to be desired in terms of usability.
So, about 6 months ago I taught myself iOS development, enrolled my wife as reference customer/tester, and put myself to work with the goal of building a flashcard app that we would actually enjoy using.
The result you see here: Muna (Icelandic for “remember”).
Muna is not intended to be a replacement for well established, feature-rich apps like Anki or Quizlet. If you are a heavy flashcard user you might want to stick to these big players for now. But if all you want is a basic standalone app for iPhone that gets the spaced repetition job done and is not painful on the eyes, then you should consider Muna.
At this point the app is just a little bit more than a MVP. It does not do an awful lot of things, but what it does it does well. It’s simple, clean, reliable, and, I dare to say, fun to use. But of course, that’s my (very) biased opinion; now I would *love* to hear yours! 🙏
