Great experience! I'm a CMO and I've hired 3 marketers through MarketerHire: SEO, Content Marketer, and CRM/Email Marketer. They have been great! Strong executers and strategic enough to participate in our growth planning. You pay for the high levels of experience, but it's all freelance, so I don't need to pay benefits or have them sit in unnecessary meetings, pay for their vacations, etc.
Nice onboarding process. Our rep connected us with a knowledgeable expert. During the onboarding process it was made clear to us that their experts are vetted, that they use time tracking and that we can pay per hour. After we signed the contract, the story changed. Suddenly there was no time tracking. We couldn't get the expert on a call for more than 30 minutes per week and we had to pay for the full 10 hours per week (like a retainer instead of Time & Material). When we complained we were not getting value they refused to close the contract and continued to bill. Never received a refund. The expert was certainly knowledgeable. However, he was essentially running a scam. During onboarding he pretends to be available and ready to work. Then, after you sign the contract he disappears, he refuses to show time tracking and is unavailable for meetings/workshops. My advice: stay away from MarketerHire and use resources from Upwork. You'll get reasonable fees (MarketerHire charges 300% to 500% of the going rate), you'll be able to see reviews and you can put money in escrow to avoid paying when the expert provides no value.
The process until you hire one of their talents is excellent, and it seems like they connect you to experts (at least at first glance). However, the reality is different. Both marketers we hired through the platform were horrible - total waste of money and zero responsibility or any refund from Marketerhire end. I usually don't write bad reviews, but I feel obligated to do this as a business owner. I would recommend staying away from MarketerHire.
A great platform to source talent fast. 2 weeks to spin up an expert in their field and give us the perspective and advice we needed. Talet pool is high quality and the matching process is very thoughtful.
Recommend it to both freelancers and companies. A very organised company that acts as a matchmaker between great talent and great companies. So far, I am loving it. Great clients, payments always on time, and top customer support if you have any issues.

Based on my experience the talent acquisition team was helpful in looking for the best client, and they really value your opinion if an assignment is the best fit for you. The talent assistant team also do a great job in making sure work-life balance is respected, and if there are grievances or concerns that can be addressed as early as possible during regular checkins. In terms of compensation their pay rates for freelancers are in the competitive range when compared to similar platforms. Overall a very good platform for experienced remote marketers.
