Hey everyone 👋
Shekhar here — I’m the solo builder behind MapScroll, your AI copilot for exploring the world through open-ended, story rich maps.
I built this because I was tired of juggling tabs between Google Maps, blogs, Wikipedia, and YouTube just to follow a thread of curiosity — whether it was tracing a historical route or finding cool hidden spots. Current map tools are built for directions, not discovery.
With MapScroll, you just ask what you're curious about — and it builds a dynamic, multi-pin map with context. It could be something practical like "Where are coworking cafés with 24/7 Wi-Fi near Shibuya?", something natural like "Show me all active volcanoes in Iceland", or even something recent like "Iranian Nuclear facilities targeted by US bombers"
If you’re a curious mind, a map nerd, or just someone tired of digging through tabs to connect ideas, give MapScroll a try.

It works great on mobile too.

@shekhar_upadhaya_1 , interesting idea. Is it only web-based? Do you plan to monetize it somehow?
@oleg_bakatanov Thanks Oleg! Currently it also works in mobile browser as well, but might launch an app version if there is strong interest in the web version. For monetization it will be basically a credit based system, but for now I want to give a month free of usage for casual exploring. (:

@shekhar_upadhaya_1 Nice one!. What's the price?
@k_piotr Thanks Piotr! It’s a credit-based system, something like 1,000 credits for a $10 recharge would be the standard.
Very cool! What’s the biggest challenge you face when marketing or monetizing a niche AI-powered travel tool?
@abe_qarm Thanks Abe! Honestly, it's still early days, so figuring things out as we go. But I suspect the real challenge will be carving out visibility in a space dominated by big players. Will know more soon as we start pushing wider.

This looks pretty cool. It's an entirely new and interactive way to look at Maps. I am sure this will see a lot of improvement soon.
@nitesh_kumar76 Thanks! I am glad you like it.
