Makara Crypto Baskets

This is a really great way to get access to a diversified portfolio of crypto assets in a compliant manner.

Think of Makara as a mutual fund equivalent in the crypto space. They make it easy to link your bank account and deposit funds (recurring deposits coming soon for easy DCA!). They provide a variety of crypto themed baskets that you can mix and match to your liking. And unlike the proposed Bitcoin Futures ETFs, you technically own your coins with Gemini as the custodian. Awesome project! It was a pleasure to work in Makara alongside @jesse_proudman, @matt_kern and the Z1 team to design such a cool interface. Our main challenge was to offer confidence for a user who is about to enter a world still unknown. We achieved this goal by taking great care in the onboarding flow, based on illustrations and motion designs to ensure clarity, and betting on friendliness and simplicity, playing with the negative on some screens to give it more visual dynamism. Have been using the app and really appreciate how easy it was to get started and track my portfolio. I also like that I own the underlying crypto in my baskets.
