Live Dark Mode lets you preview your WordPress site in dark mode instantly. No code, no setup. Just enter your URL and see the magic. A free tool built with love to help you decide if dark mode fits your website before investing time or effort in development.
Hey Product Hunters! π
I'm Shahi, Product Manager at WPPOOL, where we build tools that make WordPress more powerful and fun to use.
As WordPress developers and makers of the most used dark mode plugin for WordPress, we kept hearing the same concerns from site owners: "I love the idea of dark mode, but what if it looks terrible on my site?" and "I don't want to spend building something that might not even work well with my design."
That frustration really hit home for us. We realized people needed a way to see before they build without the commitment, without the risk, without the headache.
So we created Live Dark Mode: a simple tool that lets you peek into the future and see your WordPress site transformed into dark mode in just seconds. No installations, no coding, no stress. Just paste your URL and get your answer instantly!
Look, we'll be honest, it's not perfect. The preview uses basic rendering, so it won't catch every design nuance. But it'll give you that crucial first impression: "Does this direction feel right for my brand?". We've love seeing people go from uncertain to excited about dark mode possibilities... that's what keeps us going.
We'd genuinely love to hear your thoughts, did this solve a real problem for you? What would make it even more helpful? Your feedback shapes what we build next.
Hey everyone! π
Finally, the launch is live! Please feel free to share your feedback, whether itβs ideas for improvement, things you love, or anything that could be better. Your input helps us make this tool more useful for the WordPress community. π
As the description below says, ot's not perfect. But gives a very good idea how what it may look like when using "dark mode", and gives clues where some work maybe needed to implement the feature. Great idea.
@bill_querry Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Weβll keep working to make the preview even more accurate over time.
