Hi everyone 👋 I'm Manan, a Product Manager who recently entered the world of building solo. Lava Icons is an AI-based 3D icon generator I built over two weeks. The idea came from a simple frustration: most icon and design tools I found had a high entry cost, often $10 or more even just to try them out. I wanted to change that. What Lava Icons does: 🧠 Enter a prompt, and generate Airbnb-style 3D icons in seconds 🎨 Customize colors, shapes, lighting, and styles 💾 Export icons easily and use them in your apps or websites 💸 Generate icons at the lowest possible cost (starting at just 10 cents!) 🎁 Comes with free credits to get started instantly Why I built it: 🙌 I love building things, and this was my chance to learn again 🧑‍💻I’ve never professionally coded, but this helped me dive back into it 🎬 I also learned video editing, animation basics, and full-stack development — all while working solo 💡My goal wasn’t to make money but to learn by building, and keep it as affordable as possible 🚧 What’s next: ✨I’m working on adding micro-animations for icons 🧩Improving UI and expanding prompt capabilities 📣Gathering feedback to shape the future of the tool The tool is still in beta, and I’d love your feedback, feature requests, bugs, or even just a “this worked well” would mean the world!
