👋 Hey Product Hunt!
I've been creating KanbanMail for the last three months and I'm super excited to share it with you, I've put thousands of hours into it and it's finally paying off!
I started using Kanban boards (like Trello) to organize my tasks midway through last year. I quickly fell in love with their ability to visualize the status of all my tasks. It took a scary to-do list and made it so much more manageable.
💡 One day I realized that the one of the most daunting and confusing lists in our lives is our inbox. And I thought that Kanban could help fix it!
📅 I made a few very basic prototypes of KanbanMail late last year, but I really only started working on it properly in June. Since then I've worked on it nearly every day, and have been doing it 100% transparently since early July!
👀 Here is KanbanMail's Makerlog page, where you can see every single thing I've done on KanbanMail, from first getting emails from the Gmail API to making my first $ in revenue to launching on Product Hunt today!
🤑 You can also check out my /open page here, it should be auto-updating throughout the day!
📣 To learn more about the story of KanbanMail (including getting to #1 on Hacker News during the first day in beta), you can read this interview that I did not long ago.
💰 KanbanMail is $8/month, but that's not much compared to the time it will save you! You can have a 7 day free trial to see if it's your thing.
Feel free to ask me any questions about the product or the development process below! Also, follow me on Twitter for advice, updates, open stats and interesting maker news!
@booligoosh If only you could use an API end-point to update your /open page with the costs from your Startup Costs. 🤔
Congrats on this launch, Ethan! Looks really good! 👏
I have been following Ethan for some time now building KanbanMail and all I can say is if I still used Google or Microsoft services for mail I would be using it today for everything!
