Hey hunters 👋
I've used countless platforms for my notes: some in Notion, some in Apple Notes, and since I'm a visual learner, some in Excalidraw. To simplify things, I decided to create simple-looking notes with Excalidraw built in.
- Minimalistic design
- Folders
- Excalidraw sketches
- Share notes via link
I share my side projects' progress here x.com/rita_romen
Have the best day!
@rita_r
Cool idea! Creating a single space for notes, especially with the ability to visualize, definitely solves a problem for many people.
Questions for clarification:
- How does data sync between devices? Is there a mobile app?
- Is it possible to collaborate on notes with other users?
- Are there any plans for integrations with other tools, such as tasks or calendar?
- How can I export data from the app?
Cooperation proposal:
As a developer, I see several areas where the product can be improved:
- Implementing a more advanced search for notes, including searching by the contents of drawings.
- Adding ready-made templates for different types of notes (e.g. for keeping a diary, project planning).
- Developing a system of plugins to extend the functionality of the application.
I would be happy to discuss these ideas in more detail and, perhaps, contribute to the development of your project.
What do you think about these suggestions?
@max_savonin1 Thanks, Max!
1. There's no mobile app. However, the web app is a PWA, so it can be added to the home screen to mimic an app experience. I personally added it because I like the cleaner look without browser navigation.
2. Collaboration? Not yet, but I see interest in it in the comments, so I'm considering adding it as a new feature later.
3. Integration? Not yet. I see the value in it, but I need to think it through because I want to keep it simple.
A little note about integration: Architecturally, I have a concept of "widgets." For example, Excalidraw sketches are a widget. So, I can add various features, from a calendar widget with custom features and sync with an actual calendar to any interactive element.
4. Exporting data: I have export on my to-do list for upcoming updates. Which export format would you prefer? Markdown, PDF?
Thanks a lot for your cooperation proposal! I like your suggestions! How can I contact you for further discussion?
@rita_r Thank you for the detailed response! This clarifies a lot.
I understand that while there's no mobile app currently, the PWA approach is a great way to provide a similar user experience.
I'm excited to see potential future features like collaboration and integration. The "widget" concept is interesting and opens up possibilities for customization.
Regarding data export, I'd prefer Markdown format for its simplicity and compatibility.
I'm available for further discussion through Linkedin.
Thank you again for considering my proposal!
