I started inkl with a simple mission - to ensure that journalists can continue to inform us about critical events in the world. Now, more than ever, we need journalists to investigate and expose the facts. Without that, we won't be able to agree upon, let alone address, any of our greatest challenges - whether that's climate change, equality, economic policy, or pandemic management.
Unfortunately, the world today is one where fake news and clickbait are drowning out the truth. This is a direct result of the disruption of ad-funded news by search and social media. But as publishers lose revenue, journalists lose jobs, and we as readers lose clarity.
So inkl's goal is to provide readers with a fantastic news experience that draws on the world's most trusted and respected sources, and takes readers deeper into the news than social media or search will.
And by doing so, we want more readers to consume and pay for high quality news so that journalists get paid to do great work, and society as a whole can make informed choices.
