I’m Luca, the co-founder of Freaking Nomads. We are not the usual publication made by digital nomads for digital nomads: we were born out of desperation to hear those "freaking nomads...always on vacation/they must come from money" type of talks. Since our launch (2 years ago), we have been trying to bust myths and stereotypes around digital nomadism by sharing the real life of digital nomads, no BS. This, while also having fun and sharing useful resources to make digital nomads live their best lives.
Today, I'm excited to share with you the launch of a dedicated Community Forum for digital nomads! 🎉
This community forum was born from the frustration we experienced ourselves when seaching for experiences from other digital nomads since the beginning of our journey. There are so many scattered places to find information for digital nomads – Facebook Groups, WhatsApp groups, Discord channels, Slack communities, subreddits – but nothing that truly felt like a cohesive, genuine community. We wanted to create something different: a central hub where nomads can connect, share tips, and support each other in a truly authentic way without all the noise and distractions. All without paying a dime (because we like keeping things FREE).
This is what we hope people will be sharing real experiences on:

We setup the threads for each of those areas for the community to (hopefully) participate and make the forum better from the start!

Congrats on the launch Luca! This community sounds like something we really need in the digital nomad world. Quick question though, are you planning to expand beyond English? Would be awesome to see some support for other languages or even specific travel regions!
@jonathanmichaelblake Great question! For now only English but we might indeed expand to other languages in the future if this is something the community would love to.
For the travel regions, we have created specific topics for each country and people can ask to add a specific place/region if they wish to!
