@morewillie Yes they do. It's all about choosing the right combination between size/power/weight/range. Our board is a little faster and range is longer.
Hi!
We've had a lot of people asking the difference between our product and the ones you can find on Alibaba, which is legit because they look similar (https://wholesaler.alibaba.com/p... )
The only common point is that the motors are made by the same manufacturer.
Our board has a single motor (they have 2 smaller motors). Our wheels are much larger (83mm) and the PU is better (78A high rebound, we sourced the manufacturer ourselves). Our deck comes from one of the best deck manufacturers in China. It's super hard maple and we designed the shape ourselves (we made around 50 prototypes to get to our final design). The battery and electronics we use are also custom made the software settings too. We are currently finalizing the design of our own remote control.
All these things are hard to see on a photo. Our engineering and design team is based in China and we know all the Chinese companies that offer these kinds of electric skateboard. They do great at making products that look similar to our design and cutting the prices using different materials and skipping quality control processes. We've tried all these manufacturers' ready-to-sell products (OEM) and I can tell you that they don't pay attention to details and quality. That's what we've been working on for 2 years : We select the best manufacturers and work with them (1 component = 1 different supplier) to match our very specific requirements.
I'll be happy to answer further questions

@quentin_sarto Hmm. The big "tell" for me is that the truck hardware is bolted on _under_ the griptape. This screams Chinese junk to me. If you're controlling this piece of the process, why did you opt to have the hardware under the griptape, exactly like these other Chinese manufacturers?
