I was trying to understand the value of Postcards, coming from a marketing background and using email editors since 2013. Honestly, initially it felt like any other email editor out there. I then started reading some of the testimonials and I started understanding the issues that Postcards was actually solving for. While going through the demo, I noticed that there are sections with templates like, eCommerce. I really liked how easily I can built & export an email.
One feedback I had, it would be great if the website had use-case based pages - so that users can relate their pain points with their own use-case. This will motivate users to try out the tool with a purpose. Apart from that, really nice & clean design, love the design language you guys have.
Congrats @andrianv & team, have a great launch guys!
I was among the first people to actually purchase Postcards v1. Recently, I had the chance to use Version 3, and all I can say is, "Great development!"!
I truly appreciate the time and effort the team has invested into improving the product.
And the AI integration in the new version is the cherry on top 🤩
Thank you guys!
Designmodo is a valuable resource for designers and developers seeking to streamline their workflow and create professional-looking designs. Its ease of use, extensive library, and inspiring resources make it a great choice for beginners and those seeking quick solutions. However, its limitations in customization, pricing complexities, and potential for design fatigue should be weighed before investing heavily in the platform. ⚡️
We use the Postcards email builder. It offers beautiful templates and excellent editing functionality, making our email template creation much easier and more efficient.
I want to share my expience with this company. I had reached out to them and asked if they had any promotions. They did offer me one and also stated that they had a new release coming. They stated that I could wait and the discount would still be honored then.
So, I waited the couple of weeks. I revisited their website to sign-up, however everything was changed. They went way up on prices, and also removed features like unlimited websites.
They misled me. They led me to believe I would be fine waiting. They did not mention that a big price hike was coming. They did not mention the huge overhaul of the plans/features. I wanted to use the unlimited websites and hosting.
I sent them screenshots and asked them to honor it as it was before but they would not. Again, I was instructed I could wait.
Either they intentionally misled me (so I wouldn't get in on the existing plan), or they dropped the ball unintentionally. Either way, they should have taken care of me and made this right.
I recommend against using this company. Not only is that bad business, but this online website builder is no longer a good value.
Hi Glen,
We’ve exchanged over 30 messages via email, and I’d like to address your concerns here in public as well.
1. Initial Contact:
On January 7, 2025, you reached out to us asking if we could upload a deal on AppSumo with a Lifetime Deal (LTD). I responded, letting you know that we don’t offer LTDs. However, I offered you a 50% discount on a subscription, which you accepted.
2. Decision to Wait:
On the same day, you expressed that you’d like to wait for the release of the new Slides (our website builder) to evaluate the updates and improvements before making a payment. Your exact words were: “The new update comes out later for Slides? I’d like to see what improvements and additions are added before paying.”
3. Release Timeline:
You inquired about the release date, and I informed you that we planned to launch in the last week of January. We honored this timeline and released the new Slides on January 22, 2025.
4. Discount Confirmation:
You asked if the 50% discount would apply to the new release of Slides, and I confirmed that it would. This remains true.
Now that we’ve released the new Slides, it comes with updated pricing options and several new features, including:
• Website hosting
• SSL
• Unlimited traffic
• Free subdomain
• Custom domain connection
• Forms
• New designs and more.
Adding these features required significant changes to our business model. You specifically requested unlimited websites, but as we now offer hosting, SSL, and other resources, providing “unlimited” websites is simply not feasible while maintaining high-quality service.
Regarding Your Review:
We’ve exchanged multiple emails, and I’ve always responded promptly and explained everything in detail. At no point did I ignore your requests. It’s important to note that:
1. You never inquired about potential changes to the pricing plans; you only asked about features and improvements.
2. I never advised you to wait for the new Slides release—it was your decision to do so based on your statement: “I’d like to see what improvements and additions are added before paying.”
Given that you’ve never purchased or used Slides, I don’t consider your review to be genuine or based on actual product experience. Instead, it reflects your personal expectations and our discussions via email. I will report your review to Product Hunt for them to determine whether it aligns with their policies. Reviews should be based on real product usage, not pre-purchase conversations.
Finally, I’d like to reiterate that these updates and pricing changes apply to all clients, not just potential ones like yourself.
Thank you for understanding,
Andrian
Love love love Designmodo's stuff. Especially Slides and Postcards. Really clean and crisp tools to create simple sites and emails. 10/10 would recommend.
I believe Postcards – the Drag and Drop email template maker – demonstrates how wonderful they are. It's so simple to use that even a child can do it. Beautifully coded email templates that function on all platforms (desktop, laptop, and mobile) and are just stunning. The pre-designed header, text, and footer, among other things, are exact and attractive. I like practically everything about it, and it saves a lot of time for people who are short on time.
