Hi Product Hunters! 👋
I'm Dominic, founder of Decoded. Our mission is simple: make every task as easy as sending an email—whether it's deep research, data analysis, or file conversions.
Why email? It's part of your workflow, it's platform-agnostic, and it's naturally asynchronous. As we delegate more complex tasks to agents, I believe email will become an even more powerful hub.
Today, we're launching our public beta with one email assistant (assistant@decoded.app). It can help you:
Analyze data - clean, interpret, visualize (Watch demo)
Conduct deep research - complete hours of work in minutes (Watch demo)
Chat with your documents - mine attachments for insights (Watch demo)
Edit files - merge, split, compress, watermark, convert formats (Watch demo)
Trying Decoded is literally as easy as emailing assistant@decoded.app. Your first three email exchanges are free - I really just want to see how people use it and what resonates.
I'd love for you to give it a try and share your thoughts. What would you use this for?

Love the simplicity—email as an interface makes so much sense for async workflows. Curious, how are you handling data privacy, especially for sensitive attachments? Email-based AI feels powerful but also risky without tight controls.

@shreyans_assistiv Hey Shreyans, thanks for the feedback and question!
Mail is encrypted in transit wherever possible—if the other server supports TLS, we use it automatically.
Once a message lands, it’s encrypted and stored on the mail servers for 45 days so spam and abuse filters can do their thing. Any raw attachment we need for the AI workflow is wiped within 24 hours after we turn it into a private search index, and that index deletes itself seven days after you last use it.
Currently, the support teams and I can reach attachments when troubleshooting; access is rare but technically possible.
This is the start of a public beta, so these numbers and policies will become tighter in time.
Well done! I am so excited to put this to the test.
