Very versatile screenshot tool. One of the features I use the most in cleanshot is taking gifs -- which I have not come across in other tools. Love that it is a one-time purchase and free forever!
It took me a long time to decide to pay for something that is already "free" on my computer, but now that I've been using Cleanshot for weeks I don't have an ounce of regret. The thing I love the most : great annotations tool, floating thumb that don't disappear automatically, and the capture OCR. If you routinely capture around 5 screenshot per day you should try it.
I really like that GIF has an ideal frame rate and quality when exporting videos to GIF.
CleanShot is neat. Makes life much much easier for sharing screenshots.
This app has truly elevated my screen capture game. With its built-in annotation features and Quick Access Overlay, capturing and editing screenshots on my Mac has become a breeze. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a superior screen capture experience
Super super excited for this new, expanded version of CleanShot! The scrolling capture alone is worth the price of admission (I'd been using Xnip for this previously).
I've become a great fan of CleanShot to quickly grab screenshots or small videos. I love the annotation tools and some of the small features when capturing video. Something I would love for CleanShot to add are simple "highlight" tools, especially when editing video. For example, I would love it if I could record a video of me using some product and then edit it so that I can add a nice zoom-in at some point to highlight me doing something, then zoom back out, etc. I currently do those kinds of videos with CleanShot + ScreenFlow (or just ScreenFlow), but I feel it could be a lot simpler and I trust CleanShot would do a great job with the UX of that.
When I first started with macOS, one of the first tips people gave me was about CleanShot. I have never looked back since.
