After a long vendor selection process through wich i challenged the main report generation engines out there, i bumped into Carbone and it met all requirements (studio, formats, configurability, high availability, security, gdpr compliance) I've been using it since version 2, it's a very powerful and flexible report generation api and the support / documentation is excellent.
