Where to start with my review of this amazing new and innovative solution... Having been a beta tester from the early days and pre public launch, Astrato has just come on leaps and bounds, everything from the product itself and the incredible new features continuing to be launched in what feels like almost weekly now, but the launch of the community and also the new training platform which just bring the whole thing together. The Community is growing super fast and the amount of feature requests / ideas from users is fascinating to see, really is getting some great traction and continues to grow each day. The Training platform makes life for new users the place to be, efficiently helps guide users in the right direction and although I have had the pleasure of playing with Astrato before the launch of training, this allowed even myself to see things I hadn’t considered/overlooked before. In to Astrato itself, what an easy no code BI solution this is, being a developer its sometimes hard enough to find time in the day to support the workload of clients, yet alone support internal customer facing teams with insight and analytics that they use on a daily basis. So this is where Astrato for us lends itself so amazingly, because with very little support our internal users are now able to surface insights straight out of google sheets/postgres database without the need of having Coding skills. This has eased the pressures on some of us developers and allowed us to focus back own the clients. From data and setup to insights in a matter of minutes using the auto join functionality to the drag and drop building of pages and being able to utilise the Templates. The other benefit which is incredible is the fact it doesn’t require any underlying script to reload/refresh the tool and this sets itself apart from any other BI solution in my opinion, having teams populating data in postgres/google sheets and this feeding live into the tool is incredible. Other features that are now surfacing including Writeback and also embedding objects from Astrato into custom web pages are just going to make this offering even greater than it has been up to now. On the fly writing back to a data source and instantly seeing these reflections on the App is going to have some very powerful benefits for the future. Only reason for missing key features selection is because of the missing canvas resizing and mobile friendly designs :) of which both are in the pipeline i am told. so i cannot wait for these to be available in the future... Awesome work all at Astrato and look forward to seeing more and more additions over the coming months…
